General care
Sunlight
- Avoid prolonged exposure to sunlight, as this can potentially lighten the pigment in the wood.
- Gently remove dirt with a soft, damp cloth and dry thoroughly with an absorbent towel afterwards. Liquid spills must be wiped dry immediately to prevent damage. Use mild soap and warm water to remove any stains. Never use abrasive cloths and solvents.
Leather Sun & heat
- Prolonged exposure to sunlight can cause leather to fade, so be careful to avoid placing your leather furniture in the direct sunlight. Also avoid placing any portable heating devices near your leather furniture to avoid damage.
- Regular cleaning with formulated leather cleaner is recommended to protect and clean your Tommy Swiss leather furniture. However, a cloth and soapy water should also do the trick. Avoid any silicon and oil based products that can cause leather to dry and crack. Never use abrasive cloths and solvents.
Upholstery General cleaning
- Vacuum your upholstered furniture regularly to remove surface soil and prevent dirt from becoming embedded into the fibres. You may also use a soft bristled brush to gently sweep away dust.
- Blot any stains gently with a clean damp towel; never rub. Apply mild cleaning product on the stain with a soft brush and work it into the fibres in a circular motion. Vacuum when dry. Ensure to check manufacturers instructions to see if water or solvent based cleaner is preferred.
General care
- Do not sit of the headboard, back rests or any other part of your furniture that is not designed for seating.
- Be careful with any sharp tools that you may use in unpacking your Tommy Swiss furniture.
- Make sure to lift your furniture at the base to move it. Do not drag to avoid damage to the feet and your floor.
